Nova directiva sobre os direitos autorais a voto no Parlamento Europeu
A Google tem apostado numa campanha de desinformação sobre a nova política de direitos autorais. Todos os dias chegam aos deputados do Parlamento Europeu alegações falsas de que estará em causa o livre upload e acesso de informações na internet.
A comunidade artística independente manifestou-se através de uma declaração conjunta partilhada pela IMPALA, onde se pode ser:
“Representamos 4,5% do PIB da UE e 12 milhões de empregos europeus. Somos o coração e a alma da pluralidade e das identidades ricas da Europa. No dia 5 de julho pedimos que apoie o mandato adotado pela JURI em 20 de junho, que é o resultado de longas e intensas negociações. Há uma campanha de empresas de tecnologia que inundam as caixas de entrada dos eurodeputados com um alarmismo de que a directiva dos direitos de autor seria o fim da Internet. Por favor, note que este é o vigésimo aniversário da primeira reivindicação de que as disposições sobre direitos autorais iriam quebrar a Internet. Isso nunca aconteceu.
